This family has been so patient, waiting for some of these sneak peeks of their photo session I did about three weeks ago! After a few weeks of stormy evenings, we had our fingers crossed that the rain clouds would stay away for our evening photo shoot. We were blessed with a warm evening, and beautiful warm golden light to bask in! I love taking photos of families like this one. They are a group of people that truly enjoy being together, the love they share shows through every photo. Thank you Grovers for letting me capture some of this family magic!
I am in the process of taking my hobby (some might say obsession) of photography and expanding my knowledge, experience and creativity. I love capturing great images, connections and memories that represent real life. I am pushing beyond the traditional, forced smile kind of portrait photography and giving people a chance to move around, laugh, and be silly. My purpose is to capture something real during a shoot. Great images combined with some relaxed fun along the way!

Celebrating Jillian's Graduation
This past weekend I was asked to capture some of the energy as this young woman and 12 of her closest friends prepared to leave for their high school graduation commencement. I was struck by two things; the shear beauty of each individual graduate and the genuine love and excitement they each have for each other. The energy of this group was electric, so much laughter, a few tears and pure excitement for achieving this milestone in their lives. I felt truly honoured to be a small part of the celebration and have the ability to capture the essence of this important day. Congratulations Jillian!

Welcome Baby M!
Here are some shots of the B Family and their newest bundle of boy...baby M. What a peaceful little baby who was happy being cuddled and held during the whole photo shoot. This baby is so blessed to be a part of this loving family.

Catching Up!
I've been on a bit of a break from photography...took an extended holiday in December and January and now just trying to get caught up in the other areas of my life. While I do that I wanted to post some photos from our Australian Adventure. Hope you enjoy them as much as I did taking them!

The S Family
Last weekend I had the chance to spend part of an afternoon with the S family. The girls have grown so much since our photo shoot last year! They are so much fun to chat with, they have these great personalities and of course too cute for words. Trying to get photos of them on their own is tricky as they like to be together all the time. I can't wait to see how their relationship grows over the years. On this day we lucked out and the rain stopped just in time for our afternoon at the park and I am so excited to share a few of the great shots from that day.

Fun Fall Afternoon With The Gatzke's
This family holds a special place in my heart. We are connected through school, skating and even piano lessons. But more than that, L is a friend that I can count on anytime and anywhere, she is such an advocate and supporter for kids, and her enthusiasm in the bleachers of the skating arena is unmatched. (She even has a trophy to prove it!) I've been taking photos for the Gatzke's for three years and I feel so blessed to be able to document their growth and connection as a family. This year's shoot was another opportunity to laugh, play and my first assignment with my new camera. Thanks again for allowing me to document your beautiful family.

Fall Photos with the T. Family
I have known this family for many years, since our kids were babies in fact! Though I don't see them on a regular basis, they are that kind of family you just pick up right where you left off. We had such an amazing evening for photos; perfect light, laughing about the Beverly Hillbillies, Flintsones and the Love Boat created a relaxed kind of mood that lent itself to some really amazing images. I believe these photos really capture the love and togetherness that this family is all about!
