Fabulous Fall Photo Shoots

I have been so busy the last few weeks with a variety of photos shoots that included family sessions, kid stuff, the Terry Fox Run, and a Wedding! I have learned so much, and had a great time. I am actually walking away from sessions feeling GOOD, and oh so excited to go through the images. I have a big back log of photos to edit at the moment, but I'm getting through them and enjoying that creative process as well. I gotta say I love this whole photography gig! Family V!

Here is a fun loving family. I had the pleasure of hanging out with. We were going for a combination of some traditional and active real life shots with this energetic family of 6. I love how their unique personalities shine through in these photos. Despite some chilly weather we really had a great evening in the "coulee".

I love taking photos of these two. They are so much fun to hang out with and overall, just fantastic kids. They have a positive loving energy about them and it really shows in these photos.

Hello Out There in Blogger Land

It has been such a long time since I updated this site...I feel very neglectful. I intend to keep this space more current, as people have been asking me if I have a blog...they want to see my work and many people don't have FaceBook which is where I usually post my latest photos. This is what I've been up to lately! Kids individual photos, Fall Family Photos and a Wedding! My first! It was a great experience. I felt very blessed to be a part of such an important event and get to know both the bride and groom and their extremely fun loving bridal party! From start to finish, people were willing to let their personalities show in front of the camera and have a fun time as we captured some moments from this very special day! Deryk and Ali Engagement Photos

Okay, I know it is very common to hear photographers say that a couple they photograph is a really "fun couple", however, in the case of Deryk and Ali, they take this to a whole new level. I have some pretty shaky shots because I was laughing so hard at some points...they were a blast to spend an afternoon with and I am so looking forward to their wedding in September. If it is anything like their engagement shoot...it is going to be one heck of a good time!

Welcome to the wonderful world of curves!

To all of you photoshop experts out there....you know what I mean. For those of you that don't know what i'm talking about I'll provide a visual example of a photo straight out of the camera and one that I've adjusted the curves (in addition to a few other things as well) The results can be subtle or dramatic. I just recently came to understand how they really work and I am so excited to share some of the editing I've been doing with curves. Enjoy!
