Photoshop Practice

Here is a photo that I took the other day. I was given the task of capturing some 6 month photos of our neighbour baby M. Here is his big sister that I managed to catch. She is kind of photo shy these days so my exposure was off (underexposed) but I tried to salvage through Photoshop...curious what my fellow members of the DLS workshop think? Too much editing. Really looking for constructive comments here, be honest please!

Here is the F 11 and F16 shots!

I wasn't able to post all the photos...here is the last one!

DLS Depth of Field Exercise

Here is my Depth of Field photos...I struggled to differentiate between the two activities so I hope I'm on the right track with this. I'm enjoying other participants postings thus far! I'm really looking forward to getting together again in February!

DLS Exercise #1 (sort of)

Okay...I was too chicken to go outside as it is so cold. Also I still haven't gotten my tripod back from a colleague so I will do the outdoor shots very very soon. I was experimenting with the Rule of Reciprocity inside today and finally got a shot that worked. I really struggled with getting a photo of me in focus. I know we are supposed to embrace the blur, but I wanted something a little bit clearer. Anyway, here is my first official posting!

Welcome to 2011

Here we are almost a week into 2011. Why does time have to slip away so quickly? I'm looking forward to 2011 there are some interesting challenges in store and I'm ready to face them head on! I am looking forward to participating in my DLS photography workshop starting this weekend. I'm looking forward to my birthday tomorrow. I don't usually make a big deal about my birthday, but I feel the need to really celebrate and truly express my gratitude for the people, relationships and blessings in my life right now. That's why I'm posting some photos from my recent family photo shoot/experience with the uber talented Hope Walls. She squeezed us in, made my last minute plea a reality and for that I will be eternally grateful. Just watching her in action has taught me so much! I'm looking forward to working with her, picking her brain, and probably annoying her with many questions over the next six or so months. Happy New Year everyone! And here is a glimpse of my Family Tree!
